Renewable Remote Power Generation Program
The Renewable Remote Power Generation Program (RRPGP) provides financial support for households, communities, not-for-profit, business, government and other organisations to increase the use of renewable energy generation in areas that are not close to the main-grid electricity network.
The main aims of the Renewable Remote Power Generation Program are to:
- reduce greenhouse gas emissions by replacing diesel-fuelled electricity generation with renewable energy
- help provide effective electricity supply to remote users
- assist the development of the Australian renewable energy industry.
Amount
Rebates of up to 50 per cent (up to $200,000) of the capital cost of renewable generation and essential enabling equipment are available to applicants that fully comply with the eligibility requirements and procedures outlined in the RM sub-program guidelines.
